Dualshock 4 USB Wireless Adapter

In the video above, I unboxed the Dualshock 4 USB Wireless Adapter. Not a whole lot comes in the box. Just a lengthy booklet, and the adapter itself. The adapter is plug and play so there was no need for the booklet. I went ahead and tested it out using Remote Play on the Mac. I was quite surprised at how well it worked on the first day it came out. Check out the video to see more. After posting the video, I received lots of comments asking if it was compatible with Steam. It wasn’t at the time of release; however, it is now possible. Read Compatibility below to find out more.

Compatibility

Works out of the box with Remote Play and the PlayStation Now service.

Works with Steam by downloading and configuring DS4Windows version 1.4.5 or higher.

DS4Windows can be downloaded here. Instructions on setup can be found here.

Range

I tested the range to see how far I could go until I lost connection. I ended up at the corner of my neighbor’s house which was approximately 50-60 feet. I’m not an expert at telling distance just by looking at it, but trust me, I was outside! I had somebody tell me to go left, right, reverse, straight while playing Need For Speed.
