LibreELEC is an alternative to using OpenELEC. It is advertised as being “Just enough OS for Kodi.” After seeing many people switch to LibreELEC, I decided to give it a try. Turns out it runs great. It literally powers up instantly on my Raspberry Pi 3. I also noticed that LibreELEC is far more updated than OpenELEC which is still at 15.2. That is one of the things I love about it and why you should make the switch as well.
