Authorization required in Kodi (Recommended)

If you have been using Kodi for the past couple of months, you will have noticed that many links require you authorize the devices on your network using a certain website. In the past, I usually just clicked cancel until I found a link that did not require the authorization process. I have learned that this was actually a mistake, and I would get a better experience if I took a few seconds to do this.

What does authorization do?

Following the authorization process opens up even more functional links to use in Kodi. Some of these links will yield a better and faster streaming performance. The great thing about it is, it gives you access on your entire network since it uses your IP Address. This means you pair once, and you can use it on any device.

How to authorize?

Just follow the instructions given on the screen. You can easily visit the website on your phone, make sure to select “I’m not a robot”, and lastly click on “Pair”. You can even bookmark the page to access it quickly in the future. Your IP Address is usually given access for 4 hours before you have to authorize again. Note: Both devices must be on the same WiFi network. If you followed my recommendation of using a VPN router, you need to connect the device you are using to authorize, to that router. Once you finish pairing, you can disconnect from it.

Why should I authorize?

The answer is easy. You will get more functional links. Some of which provide high-quality resolutions with minimum to zero buffering. Taking a few seconds to pair gives you 4 hours to enjoy content on your network with any device.

Too good to be true?

In my experience, this has worked 100% of the time. The secret behind this is, when you visit the website, you might see some ads displayed on the screen or a new window might open up which you can close out of. The advertising is used to pay for servers and continue to provide this for us at no cost. Seems fair in my opinion.

Final thoughts

Give this a try and let me know how it works out for you. You should be able to have more functional links without wasting too much time to find one that actually works.
